Info Post
Alex loves Auntie Anne's pretzels.  Every time we're at some sort of mall (which is not very often), we have to stop and get pretzels.  We usually have coupons, so I don't fuss too much about it, although I've never been that big of a fan of their pretzels.  Alex's mom got him an Auntie Anne's baking kit for Christmas, and we've been trying to find a time ever since to make them.  I have a few weeks without tests, and Alex isn't too terribly busy, so we finally got around to it last night after we had dinner.  I'm getting into using yeast, now!  These were so fun to make - I loved twisting the pretzels!  The kit was supposed to make 10 big pretzels, but I never actually want to eat a big huge one, so I made lots of little baby pretzels; they were so cute and squashed together once they baked.
I was surprised by how sweet the dough is.  I guess I'm not used to Auntie Anne's pretzels, and this could also actually be the reason I'm not a fan - I like my pretzels more savory with a real simple pretzel dough.  We had quite a bit of pretzels, so we froze some of them so we can reheat them later.
