Alex decided he wanted something similar to chicken francaise, minus the lemony sauce. Now, he had no idea how to make it, and I'd never heard of it, so you can imagine the interesting product we must've come up with. It actually didn't end up that bad, though - very flavorful! Alex just told me to batter the chicken with egg; we ended up pouring our egg mixture over the chicken and allowing it to cook like that so it would be coated in egg.
My grandma got me a wavy knife for Christmas; I actually forgot about it until Alex pulled it out today to do the potatoes. I absolutely love it!! I wish I got a better picture of the potatoes themselves; they were so fun! We cut them about 1/4 inch thick, seasoned them with salt and pepper and roasted them up so they were nicely browned. We roasted up some broccoli with onions and piled them on top of each other with cheddar in between. Yum yum!Read more »
